LAYUP WORKOUTS
#1 Chennedy Carter: Layup Form
The Workout:
Make 10 from the right and 10 with the left
Keep the ball high and use the backboard!
1. 2-Step Layups: outside foot, inside foot and up (no dribble)
2. 1 dribble layups: outside hand dribble
3. layup from 3-point line (focus on footwork and using the correct hand)

The Workout:
From the basket, spin out to elbow
Pivot toward the middle and square up
Make 10 of each
Rip into regular layups
Go middle and finish over the top
Go middle and finish on the opposite side
Go middle, jump stop, step through back to same side

Horseshoe style (alternate right then left) Explode to the basket out of every move Make 3 of each from left and right: - Hesitation dribble layups - Crossover, finish opposite - In and out layups - Between the legs, finish opposite - Double crossover layups - Spin move, finish opposite |

The Workout:
Horseshoe style layups (alternate from right and left)
Make 10 layups for each
Attack from the wing, jump stop finish (2 feet at the same time!)
Attack middle, jump stop finish
Baseline drive, square to the hoop (toes facing baseline) and jumpstop
Baseline drive to other side, square to the hoop and jumpstop
Horseshoe style layups (alternate from right and left)
Make 10 layups for each
Attack from the wing, jump stop finish (2 feet at the same time!)
Attack middle, jump stop finish
Baseline drive, square to the hoop (toes facing baseline) and jumpstop
Baseline drive to other side, square to the hoop and jumpstop

The Workout:
Horseshoe style for everything (alternate from right and left)
Limit dribbles on layups (1 if possible)
Start on wing, spin to middle:
- Catch, rip opposite and finish (make 10 layups)
- Catch, rip opposite, 1 dribble 1-2 jumpshot (make 5 shots)
Spin forward to elbow, land on 2 feet:
- Jab outside foot, then go to outside for layup (make 10 layups)
- Jab outside foot, then go inside to opposite side of rim for layup (make 10 layups)
- Jab outside foot, then shoot (make 5 shots)
- Show and go to outside for layup (make 10 layups)
- Show, jab, shoot (make 5 shots)
